me, for years: why doesn’t ao3 have an easy to use tag/user/work blocking system. seems basic. the existing work filtering system is kind of a hassle in practice if all you’re trying to do is avoid something without worrying about making a new search every time. there’s a huge disconnect between the way the site exists and how a lot of people use it, and at the very least it could use a lot of QoL updates.
whatever is going on rn idk i’m not really paying attention: happens
me: yeah so, i mean frankly i’m shocked this didn’t happen sooner,
soulmate scenarios usually bore me bc the idea of an intrinsic quality that makes people compatible across time and space doesn’t compel me but on the other hand i think soulbond/mindlink stuff fucks extremely hard bc the characters have to reconcile with an inescapable intimacy. being given closeness without the guarantee of compatibility is very interesting to me because the emotional reconciliation becomes a choice
it’s like, THE rawest part of existing in a relationship, distilled. IF WE WANT THE REWARDS OF BEING LOVED,

out of curiosity i just scrolled down to the bottom of my (very short, turns out) list of stuff tagged “oc” and i was struck with how the first post is a drawing from 2014 captioned with something about how hard it is to draw clothing folds, and the most recent is a drawing where i had a lot of fun and found it really easy to draw the folds! we love to see it, folks.

thinking about how i have the username Nocturne on flight rising and i’ve had it since before nocturnes were even introduced but i don’t even really play these days… sorry folks
i got a pretty chunky bit of followers yesterday so i’d like to point out my twitter that i’m chattier on! I have a pillowfort as well but it’s mostly for archival purposes, and I haven’t updated it in a bit. also i’m very bad at remembering to answer asks/messages, so if you send me one and never get a response, I can assure that it’s nothing personal against you.
ppl in the tags on the Maka Starts A Webcomic post that’s going around again for some reason: i should watch soul eater
me, frantic: absolutely do not watch soul eater. please watch something good, like ping pong the animation
I did a little breakdown of the coloring effects I used for the Canute pic! Since the original line drawing was something I did very quickly while literally in bed before I went to sleep, I didn’t want to put a lot of work into the coloring process, and since I don’t have much of a brain for picking palettes outright, my goal was to achieve a result closest to the image I had in mind with the least work possible.
lio fotia cravat indulgence
on an obscure fandom discourse that i saw once: what i don’t think “"older”“ people understand is that the biggest reason The Kids are reticent to engage with the word "squick” is because it makes you sound unpoggers. it is literally that simple. the concept isn’t hard to understand but the word simply does not sound based in these modern times
the thing about the soul eater kids is that they’re all like 14 and dipshits so they’re exactly the kind of loser teens (i say this affectionately) who would watch soul eater. like spiritually they are an anime club
