if you dont understand what the appeal of date/aiba is to me, i will explain it like this: date is exactly the kind of person who would end up down bad for the voice in his gps and i love a ship that is funny
i got curious and went to check ao3 to see what people were shipping for aitsf and i didn’t expect date/aiba to be essentially nonexistent. i thought it would be a pairing obvious to the point of cliché
i’ve been rotating date/aiba in my brain as i play and the obvious entertainment value of their interactions aside it hits on a bunch of points i really like such as
- “partners”
- human/nonhuman
- one of them lives in the other’s brain
- not necessarily conventionally romantic
just finished the game and my bafflement at how this is apparently a rarepair is through the roof
