okay i lied my final homestuck take of the day is:
it is completely ridiculous to believe that anybody on the homestuck team set out to write the epilogues with the intention of “ruining homestuck forever” in order to spite/troll the readers. does it subvert expectations in a really uncomfortable way? is it kind of clumsy? are you allowed to dislike it? yeah, totally. but it’s frankly an idiotically cynical thing to say that the whole thing was made in bad faith
