dungeon meshi’s art is so good… ryoko kui knows exactly how much she needs to put into each panel to get what she wants out of it: the characters are so emotive and distinct without a single line wasted; the volumes of shapes are consistent without sacrificing movement or expressiveness. it’s a work with such gracefully organized artistic priorities, and that’s something that really works in its favor.
