hey folks, activists in atlanta are really worried about what could happen to our unhoused neighbors on the 17th and 20th, especially since most of these folks are Black and the people planning to come to ATL on those days are mostly white supremacists. BLM atlanta and other groups are going to try to protect them, but they need funds to do it. please share and donate if you can.

out of curiosity i just scrolled down to the bottom of my (very short, turns out) list of stuff tagged “oc” and i was struck with how the first post is a drawing from 2014 captioned with something about how hard it is to draw clothing folds, and the most recent is a drawing where i had a lot of fun and found it really easy to draw the folds! we love to see it, folks.

I did a little breakdown of the coloring effects I used for the Canute pic! Since the original line drawing was something I did very quickly while literally in bed before I went to sleep, I didn’t want to put a lot of work into the coloring process, and since I don’t have much of a brain for picking palettes outright, my goal was to achieve a result closest to the image I had in mind with the least work possible.

on an obscure fandom discourse that i saw once: what i don’t think “"older”“ people understand is that the biggest reason The Kids are reticent to engage with the word "squick” is because it makes you sound unpoggers. it is literally that simple. the concept isn’t hard to understand but the word simply does not sound based in these modern times
