A high femme is a femme who holds a position of seniority over other femmes who present a unified culture. A high femme does not hold political unity, as evidenced by the inferior femmes styling themselves with sovereign titles instead of subordinate ones. A high femme thus has limited power, and the role is often ceremonial. It is etymologicallly similar to the title femme of femmes.
