those vine compilations with the “witty” self-deprecating titles really annoy me which has led me to consume vines only through the far superior “warrior cats as vines” format
to clarify the last post: the problem is not that not being allowed to post nsfw is inherently bad; the problem is that the double whammy of completely cutting off a very large part of its own established userbase combined with incompetent management is not a recipe for Tumblr’s continued success
hey, I’m sure you all already know about Tumblr’s new NSFW policy since it’s been pinned to your dash all day, so here are my thoughts: it’s become increasingly clear to me throughout the past year or so that while Tumblr is a fun place to hang out with fun people, I don’t have enough confidence in its management so as to continue using it as my only and primary social media as far as my art is concerned.
while this blog isn’t going to be affected by the new content policy and I’ll still be using it as normal, I feel like it’s going to be a very hard blow on this website and its userbase, and I don’t believe this website will continue to exist for very long in its current state or at all. connections are super important for any creator, and losing them is un-ideal. for right now, I’m asking you to to please follow my Twitter and/or DA.
most of my finished artworks are archived and posted on DA (as well as my old DA, which is linked on my current one), and I also post new art and communicate/post dumb thoughts on Twitter. this is just a short-term, bandaid fix to a glaring problem with no easy solution: none of these or other large social websites such as Instagram fill a similar niche to what Tumblr offers for artists.
my plan right now is to archive all of the art I’ve posted on tumblr (something that has been made harder since they removed access to the uncompressed versions of images) and post it somewhere that’s easy to access and save, and to get the jump on some smaller websites that have room to grow into a similar niche. if I do that, I’ll announce that here and my other social media.
listen I want so badly to be able to enjoy catra from the new she-ra like a normal person but she looks so much like some cursed lovechild of ryoma fire emblem and vriska serket to the point where that’s all I can think about when I look at her
hey guys! I just orbital blasted a great number of posts – mostly reblogs, embarrassing personal posts, and other such non-art content – from between January 2013 and December 2014 into oblivion, dropping my post count from almost 40,000 to a little over 2,000.
a couple of drawings might have gotten caught in the crossfire, but I guarantee that I am the only person who remembers they ever existed. if you want to find and look at things I drew as a middle schooler, it is now much easier to do so, although I am unable to tell you how good a use of your time that would be.
i cannot believe 3 side chapters in a mobile game made me care more about azura than the entirety of conquest, birthright, and revelation combined thanks
interestingly, the butterfly effects for the corrins are exactly the same. chances are mikoto and camilla’s are probably also the same, but this was the most obvious instance. my guess is that intsys probably wanted the effects to be consistent and provided them or something?
mikoto and camilla also share butterflies! I’m not sure if specific effects were shared in any other banners, so it seems like they had a very particular vision for this one.

I actually don’t prefer the common headcanon that Walhart is descended/directly descended from Alm and Celica because the narrative of a relative nobody donning what he believes to be the persona and ideals of the harbringer of the romanticized golden age of his continent in order to legitimize his misguided and violent attempt to “Make Valm Great Again” through sheer charisma and force alone is more compelling to me
in terms of intensity, no feeling will ever top the despair i felt as a young roleplayer upon receiving the reply “She laughed [sic]” after i’d typed out some long and probably excessively detailed post
i had an idea in my head for a starbound “what your character’s race says about you” chart but it would be pretty useless because pretty much all of them would have ended up saying some variation of “you’re a furry” except apex which would say “you hate furries and would never want to be associated with them” and human which would say “you didn’t think twice about bowser before bowsette happened”
